Class101 Reports First Operating Profit Since Founding
Seoul, South Korea - Class101, the all-in-one creator content platform, reported its first annual operating profit since the company's establishment, according to an announcement made on Monday.
In 2024, the company recorded an operating profit of KRW 3.9 billion (US$2.69 million) and a net profit of KRW 1.8 billion (US$1.24 million).
These figures represent improvements of KRW 27 billion (US$18.64 million) and KRW 27.3 billion (US$18.85 million), respectively, compared to the 2023 results.
The financial turnaround was followed by optimizing the platform's operations to support creator growth and revenue generation.
In August, Class101 implemented a Creator Home feature, which provides an integrated environment for course creation, subscriber communication, and merchandise sales.
The platform currently maintains approximately 6,000 classes from 130,000 registered creators. Class101 has strengthened content quality through collaborations with prominent creators, including Seonhan-buja Organic and Bu-iknam.
The company plans to expand its business in three directions by 2025: AI-based personalized lecture recommendations, expansion of corporate subscription services, and strengthening of the creator home function.
Through these features, the company aims to improve the visibility of creators' content and create B2B opportunities.
Class101 CEO Dae-sun Kong stated that the company targets 50% revenue growth this year through diversified creator monetization opportunities and differentiated content experiences.
The platform recently secured KRW 18.5 billion (US$12.77 million) in funding from Strong Ventures, Goodwater Capital, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, Mirae Asset Capital, and SBVA.
Since its launch in South Korea, Class101 has expanded internationally, with platforms in the United States in July 2019 and Japan in March 2020.
The platform culminated in an integrated global platform launched in December 2022.
