HYBE's BINARY partners with Coinbase on the blockchain creator platform

Seoul, South Korea - BINARY KOREA, a subsidiary of South Korean entertainment company HYBE (352820. KS), has signed a memorandum of understanding with cryptocurrency firm Coinbase (NASDAQ: COIN) to develop a blockchain-based creator platform.

The partnership aims to launch the Onchain Engagement Protocol in 2025, integrating it into BINARY's existing creator fandom platform, THEUS.

The new platform will utilize Coinbase's Developer Platform and Base blockchain to facilitate secure exchanges of rewards, donations, and incentives between creators and fans.

Key features of the protocol will include AI-powered influencer discovery, autonomous engagement management, and an integrated token economy compatible with Coinbase wallets.

BINARY CEO Sungmin Kim said the protocol would enhance engagement between creators and fans by promoting active user participation within THEUS and other communities.

The collaboration will leverage Coinbase's tools to enable creators to accept on-chain donations and integrate blockchain functionality into their platforms.

BINARY's THEUS platform, launched earlier this year, has already attracted over 50,000 user signups and features more than 35 creators.
