Indonesian AI Firm Populix Raises $4.3M Series B For Research Tech
Jakarta, Indonesia - Populix has secured $4.3 million in Series B funding, the company announced on Tuesday.
According to the company, MSW Ventures led the investment round, which included participation from Intudo Ventures, Altos Ventures, and ACrews Capital.
Populix will use the new capital to develop and train AI models that automate research processes while enhancing the delivery of data insights.
The company is also advancing the development of AI—and machine learning-based synthetic respondents designed to mimic human reactions and aggregate data faster.
The funding comes amid challenging market conditions for the Indonesian startup sector.
Data Vantage reports from DealStreetAsia indicate that total investments in Indonesia decreased by 34% in 2024 compared to the previous year, with investment amounts declining approximately 66% to IDR 7.3 trillion.
Since raising its Series A funding in 2022, Populix has expanded its research services portfolio.
In 2023, the company launched Policy & Society Research services to help organizations and governments analyze public opinion, policy effectiveness, and socioeconomic trends.
Populix also developed Nexa, an AI-based research assistant that supports survey design, creation, respondent targeting, and conclusion formulation.
The company reports that its project volume has doubled over the past year, and 65% of its business comes from returning customers.
