KRAFTON Reports Record 2024 Profit of KRW 2.71T, Up 41.8%
Seoul, South Korea—KRAFTON Inc. reported record-breaking earnings for fiscal year 2024, with sales reaching KRW 2.7098 trillion (US$1.87 billion) and operating profit of KRW 1.1825 trillion (US$815 million).
The company's annual sales grew 41.8% year-over-year, while operating profit increased by 54.0%, driven by the continued expansion of its PUBG franchise.
The company has maintained an average annual sales growth rate of 20% over the past five years.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, KRAFTON recorded sales of KRW 617.6 billion (US$425.7 million) and operating profit of KRW 215.5 billion (US$148.5 million), representing year-over-year increases of 15.5% and 31.1% respectively.
The company's PC and console revenue approached KRW 1 trillion (US$689.2 million), supported by PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS reaching a record Peak Concurrent Users of 890,000 players after transitioning to a free-to-play model.
Mobile revenue increased 35.7% year-over-year, with BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) recording its highest-ever sales.
KRAFTON announced plans to increase development costs to KRW 300 billion (US$206.8 million) annually for the next five years.
Within this period, the company aims to generate KRW 7 trillion (US$4.82 billion) in revenue and double its corporate value.
The company's 2025 strategic lineup includes new titles inZOI, DARK AND DARKER MOBILE, Subnautica 2, and Dinkum Together.
KRAFTON also expands its artificial intelligence capabilities through partnerships with NVIDIA and OpenAI.
The company's net profit for 2024 was KRW 1.3026 trillion (US$897.8 million), representing a 119.3% increase from the previous year.
