KT Launches AI-Powered Network Management Systems
Seoul, South Korea—KT Corp (NYSE: KT) announced on Tuesday that it has introduced two artificial intelligence systems, AI Meister and AI Operator, to enhance its network management operations.
KT's AI Meister system, powered by generative AI technology, incorporates four prompt engines: Syslog AI for suggesting remedial actions, Status AI for system diagnostics, Config AI for status interpretation, and Netpedia for technical knowledge search.
According to the company, the AI Meister system enables staff with limited network management experience to perform tasks at expert levels while providing real-time diagnostics of network information to improve service stability.
The second system, AI Operator, combines Mobile Operations Support System (MOSS) and Network Mobile Office (NeMO) functionalities for physical network equipment management.
The system includes AI-powered features for system diagnostics and remedial action suggestions to manage customer services efficiently in the field.
The company said that KT plans to add Speech-to-Text (STT) capabilities to the AI Operator system to replace manual system input methods for field workers.
The AI Meister system has been implemented in core network equipment within the wired sector, with plans to expand to wireless network infrastructure.
Meanwhile, field staff are currently utilizing AI Operators to manage customer-facing network equipment, and developments are underway to handle both wired and wireless operations.
The company aims to evolve its network operations to enable AI systems to independently monitor network traffic and anomaly patterns, detect failure indicators, conduct root cause analysis, and automatically implement remedial measures.
