LG Display launches mass production of 5K2K OLED gaming panel.

Seoul, South Korea - LG Display has initiated mass production of a 45-inch Gaming OLED monitor panel with 5K2K resolution

The panel delivers 5120×2160 resolution, containing 11 million pixels, exceeding FHD panels (1920×1080) by five times and UHD screens (3840×2160) by 1.3 times.

The panel reaches 1,300 nits brightness, establishing a new benchmark for OLED monitors.

A gaming-specific polarizer reduces glare and light reflections to maintain black-level performance.

The display incorporates Dynamic Frequency & Resolution technology, enabling users to select between FHD resolution at 330Hz refresh rate or 5K2K resolution at 165Hz.

The 45-inch screen features a 21:9 aspect ratio, providing dual monitor functionality in a single panel.

Technical measurements indicate that the panel emits 50% less blue light than LCD screens with backlights and operates without flicker. The 21:9 aspect ratio accommodates viewing OTT platform content.

Won-seok Kang, Head of LG Display's large display product planning division, confirmed the company's focus on advancing gaming monitor specifications, including picture quality, form factor, and refresh rate.

The company's gaming panel portfolio encompasses sizes from 27 to 45 inches.
