LG Energy Solution, Excelsior Sign 7.5GWh Battery Storage Deal

Westborough, MA - LG Energy Solution Vertech has secured a multi-year agreement with Excelsior Energy Capital to supply 7.5 gigawatt-hours of lithium-ion energy storage projects in the United States, the companies announced on Friday.

The agreement includes integration and lifecycle services. Initial deliveries are scheduled for April 2026. All projects will comply with domestic content requirements.

The deal follows LG Energy Solution Vertech's recent 8 GWh agreement with Terra-Gen, Inc., strengthening the company's position in the U.S. grid-scale battery storage market.

The projects will utilize LG Energy Solution's containerized lithium-ion battery solutions, which feature LFP long cells designed for enhanced safety and energy efficiency.

The package includes the AEROS software controls and analytics suite.

Anne Marie Denman, Co-Founder and Partner of Excelsior, cited LG Energy Solution Vertech's comprehensive project lifecycle support and U.S. manufacturing capabilities as key factors in the selection.
