LG Launches Air Purifier with 49% Energy Reduction Technology
Seoul, South Korea—LG Electronics announced on Tuesday the launch of its new air purifier, the LG PuriCare AeroBooster.
This model features advanced purification technology and energy-saving capabilities.
The device employs an Aero Series V Filter and utilizes Dual Airflow technology to distribute purified air up to five and a half meters through simultaneous top and bottom vents.
Laboratory tests by the KOTITI Research Institute showed that the unit's UV nanotechnology eliminates 99.99 percent of bacteria from fan surfaces.
Additional testing by TÜV Rheinland demonstrated that the device's Ionizer generates up to 5,000,000 ions at 100 millimeters from the air discharge outlet.
The company said the new model reduces energy consumption by 49.6 percent in AI+ Mode compared to its Smart+ Mode.
Over eight hours, power consumption drops to 28.260 watt-hours from 56.085 watt-hours. The unit operates at 21 dBA in Sleep Mode.
The air purifier is compatible with LG ThinQ and features remote control capabilities. It also features customizable mood lighting with LED display controls.
LG Electronics said the product will initially launch this month across Asian markets, including Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan, and Singapore, with further market expansion planned.
The company has not disclosed pricing information.
