LG UltraGear 480Hz OLED Gaming Monitor Sets New Speed Record.

Seoul, South Korea—LG Electronics unveiled an UltraGear OLED gaming monitor with a 480Hz refresh rate and QHD resolution.

The 27-inch monitor (model 27GX790A) boasts a 0.03 millisecond Gray-to-Gray response time and incorporates WOLED display technology.

This technology utilizes a white OLED light source with color filters to produce accurate RGB colors.

The new display supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies and features DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity, which provides 67 percent more bandwidth compared to its predecessor.

LG's monitor includes an Anti-Glare & Low Reflection Coating and has earned VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification.

The device's L-shaped stand allows keyboard placement on its base and offers adjustable positioning with a 30-degree swivel range in both directions.

The 27GX790A is equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports and a 4-pole headphone jack that supports DTS Headphone:X for three-dimensional audio positioning.

YS Lee, vice president and head of LG Business Solutions Company's IT business unit, said the monitor is designed for both console and PC gaming, and compatibility with upcoming gaming hardware is expected in early 2025.
