LG Unveils 2025 QNED TVs with Wireless 4K, Advanced AI Features
Seoul, South Korea—LG Electronics unveiled its 2025 QNED evo television lineup, introducing proprietary wide color gamut technology and wireless 4K transmission capabilities.
The South Korean electronics manufacturer announced that its new QNED evo series will feature Dynamic QNED Color Solution, a proprietary technology replacing quantum dots to enhance color reproduction in its premium LCD TV lineup.
The company's testing partner, Intertek, has certified the entire 2025 QNED evo lineup for 100 percent Color Volume, validating the displays' ability to show original images without color distortion.
LG's QNED evo (QNED9M) model will incorporate True Wireless 4K technology, previously exclusive to its OLED evo M Series.
This technology enables wireless transmitting 4K content at 144Hz refresh rates through a separate Zero Connect Box.
The 2025 models will feature the α8 AI Processor, offering a 70 percent improvement in AI performance compared to previous versions.
The processor enhances upscaling capabilities and implements Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro for HDR optimization.
LG has expanded its screen size options, now ranging from 40 to 100 inches, introducing a new 100-inch model in response to market demand for ultra-large premium LCD TVs.
The new lineup includes an AI Magic Remote with voice recognition capabilities. A short press of the AI button provides access to relevant keywords and features, while a long press enables personalized searches using a large language model.
However, this feature will be limited to Korean and U.S. markets.
The company's webOS 25 smart TV platform will support five years of upgrades through its webOS Re: New Program, offering personalized services and content recommendations.
According to Hyoung-sei Park, president of LG's Media Entertainment Solution Company, the 2025 QNED evo lineup combines OLED-quality picture performance with wireless viewing capabilities and personalized solutions.
The new AI system can convert 2-channel audio to virtual 9.1.2-channel sound and includes voice enhancement features that separate and clarify speech from background noise.
