LINE Yahoo Rolls Out AI Image Generator for Display Advertising
Tokyo, Japan—LINE Yahoo Inc. announced today the launch of an artificial intelligence-powered image generation service for Yahoo! Advertising Display Ads, free for advertisers.
The service integrates OpenAI and Google's Gemini API technologies to generate multiple advertisement sizes from a single source image automatically, the company said in a statement.
The new feature supports responsive and banner advertisements, accommodating aspect ratios including 1:1 and 1.91:1 for responsive ads and 1:1, 16:9, 6:5, and 1:2 for banner formats.
LINE Yahoo has set a monthly usage cap of 30 generations per advertising account.
The service targets explicitly the creation of new advertisements and the modification of existing image-based advertisements.
The company said advertisers must agree to Yahoo! Advertising Generative AI Service Terms of Use and comply with OpenAI and Google's service terms.
LINE Yahoo stated it does not guarantee advertisement approval through its review process.
According to the terms of service updated on January 20, 2025, advertisers retain full legal responsibility for AI-generated content. LINE Yahoo maintains liability only in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
LINE Yahoo said the service launch aligns with the company's strategy to enhance advertising operational efficiency through artificial intelligence implementation.
