Lunit Microsoft AI Healthcare Partnership Announced
Seoul, South Korea - Cancer diagnostics company Lunit Inc. announced a collaboration with Microsoft Corp, the South Korean company said on Wednesday.
Lunit said the collaboration follows its acquisition of Volpara, a Microsoft Industry Health Certified Partner.
The companies will co-develop an AI model customization service on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform.
The service will allow fine-tuning of AI models using site-specific clinical data from customers, according to Lunit.
The company said this addresses cross-site model performance variability in clinical environments.
The collaboration will also involve developing workflow automation tools using Microsoft's agentic AI frameworks, Lunit said.
Lunit said the partnership supports its expansion in the U.S. market through Microsoft Azure's cloud infrastructure.
