LY Corp Adds Behavioral Analytics to DS.INSIGHT Tool

Tokyo, Japan - LY Corp said on Thursday that it has begun trial implementation of a segment integration function for its DS.The INSIGHT data analysis tool enables examination of user search behavior based on specified behavioral data.

The function enables businesses to analyze search patterns and user characteristics for segments defined by actions such as store visits, advertisement clicks, and purchases on Yahoo Shopping, the company stated in a press release.

LINE application behavioral data will be added to DS.INSIGHT in late July, according to LINEYahoo.

This represents the first connection between LINE-related data and the DS.INSIGHT platform.

The LINE data integration covers user segments, including those who added company LINE official accounts or engaged with LINE advertisements.

The segment integration function operates through DS.INSIGHT Journey, which displays search behavior before and after specified actions, and DS.INSIGHT Persona, which generates user profiles from big data analysis.

LY Corp said all data processed through the system is statistically aggregated and does not include personally identifiable information.

Previously, DS.INSIGHT analysis centered on specific search keywords and demographic information for particular geographic areas.

The new function begins by analyzing user behaviors, including purchases, store visits, and advertisement engagement, then examines associated search patterns and user characteristics.

LINE-related behavioral data integration applies only to users who have linked LINE accounts with Yahoo Japan IDs, the company stated.

DS.INSIGHT offers analytical modules through a starter plan priced at 100,000 yen monthly.

The plan includes Basic for keyword interest analysis, Journey for time-series search behavior analysis, Place for location data analysis, and Trend for visualizing emerging keywords.

The Persona function operates as an optional service requiring additional fees.

During the trial period, subscribers with plans that include the function can access the new

capabilities without additional charges, LINEYahoo said.

The company published case studies from IDOM Corp and Skapa JSAT Corp demonstrating early implementation of the function.

LY Corp scheduled online seminars about DS.INSIGHT services for July 17, July 29, and August 6.
