MyRealTrip Achieves First Profitability
Seoul, South Korea - MyRealTrip recorded its first annual profit in 2024, with revenue of KRW 89.2 billion (US$60.9 million) and operating profit of KRW 130 million (US$88,700), the company said on Tuesday.
According to company data, the firm, which operates a travel booking application, posted losses in previous years: KRW 13.8 billion in 2020, KRW 19.3 billion in 2021, KRW 27.6 billion in 2022, and KRW 17.4 billion in 2023.
The company said revenue grew from KRW 60.5 billion in 2023 to KRW 89.2 billion in 2024.
Over two years, revenue increased by KRW 67.2 billion, and operating results improved by KRW 27.7 billion.
The company said it focused on tour and activity services while expanding into flights, accommodations, and customized travel packages following the recovery of international travel demand after COVID-19.
In 2023, MyRealTrip implemented AI technology for customer service automation and business process optimization, which the company said increased productivity and reduced fixed costs.
According to company figures, the platform has 9 million registered users and 4 million monthly active users.
MyRealTrip said it developed a business model based on repeat customers rather than external advertising.
The company reported that transaction volume through its content creator marketing program increased from KRW 7.3 billion in 2023 to KRW 83.4 billion in 2024.
