Naver Adds Popup Store Listings to Location Platform

Seoul, South Korea - Naver Corp added popup store and experiential program listings to its location services platform, the company said.

The South Korean internet company introduced a popup store category to its Smart Place service in May.

Business operators can set operating periods, exposure timing, and reservation options according to their company's needs.

Popup store listings became available through Naver Search, Maps, and Places on June 26. Users can filter by beauty, technology, food, and book categories.

The listings will appear in the Discovery tab of the Naver Maps mobile application.

Operators can upload videos, event information, merchandise details, and location data through the platform.

Naver launched its Program service last month for offline experiential activities. The service covers experiences, activities, classes, and tours.

Listings appear in search results under a Program collection and within venue pages under an Experience Products section.

Users can search programs by keywords, location, dates, and age requirements. The platform processes bookings and payments.

The Discovery tab offers location recommendations tailored to the user's location and preferences. Naver said it will expand popup store content through this feature.

The company stated that the features are designed to target millennials and Generation Z consumers.
