NAVER Cloud Implements AI Model for Busan City Administration
Busan, South Korea—NAVER Cloud will supply Busan Metropolitan City with its HyperClovaX DASH (HCX-DASH) artificial intelligence model for administrative applications, the company said on Wednesday.
The agreement, formalized in a memorandum of understanding signed on April 8, covers integrating Busan's administrative data and developing AI-based solutions for government operations.
NAVER Cloud said it will provide technical support, consulting, and AI solution development as part of the arrangement and coordinate technological collaboration with local businesses.
According to the company, the HCX-DASH is a lightweight version of its HyperClovaX large-scale AI model, featuring faster response times and higher cost efficiency.
The model offers Korean language capabilities and flexibility in model selection.
The city said Busan plans to implement generative AI services for internal administrative tasks within 2025 and will conduct training programs for government officials to improve their AI utilization skills.
Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun and NAVER Cloud CEO Kim Yoo-won attended the signing ceremony at Busan City Hall.
