Naver D2SF Invests in AI Logistics Startup TechTaka

Seoul, South Korea – Naver D2SF has made a third investment in AI logistics startup TechTaka since 2020, supporting its expansion into overseas markets.

The bridge round follows a 2020 seed investment and a 2021 Series A, aiming to deepen the strategic partnership, Naver D2SF said in a press release.

TechTaka has launched a U.S. subsidiary and is managing two logistics centers in North America as part of its market entry strategy.

The company developed and operates Argo, a platform that integrates e-commerce logistics functions, including product management, order management, and delivery management.

After receiving its initial Naver D2SF funding, TechTaka joined the Naver Fulfillment Alliance and began offering the Naver Delivery service, achieving a same-day shipment rate of 99.98% and an inventory accuracy rate of 99.96%.

TechTaka reported a positive contribution to profit in 2023.

In 2024, the startup's total shipments increased by about threefold, fulfillment orders rose fourfold, and its customer base more than doubled from the previous year.

In 2023, amid increasing reverse direct purchase demand in North America, TechTaka focused on expanding among K-beauty sellers. Korea ranked first in Amazon's cosmetics category sales.

In 2024, TechTaka plans to connect with Amazon FBA and TikTok Shop to help Korean sellers enter the North American market and engage local sellers, seeking to strengthen its regional presence.

Naver D2SF said 81% of its portfolio startups are pursuing global expansion, and it will continue to support their growth.

Yang Sang-hwan, head of Naver D2SF, said TechTaka has been a close collaborator with Naver since its founding and is expected to grow in the global logistics sector.

He said Naver D2SF will continue to fund domestic tech startups and increase support for their international growth, as stated during a May media roundtable marking the investor's 10th anniversary.
