NAVER Launches AI-Powered Hotel Review System for Global Travelers
Seoul, South Korea—NAVER Corp (035420. KS) announced on Friday that it has launched a new hotel review feature on its travel platform.
The feature lets users post reviews for domestic and international hotel stays booked through its service.
The feature allows users to submit reviews with text, photos, and videos after completing their hotel stays.
Reviews can be accessed through the platform's MY Place timeline and NAVER Travel's page.
Users can categorize their reviews by trip purpose, including vacation and business travel, companion types such as parents or friends, and specific hotel attributes, including bedding quality and views.
The company rolled out an AI-based hotel recommendation service in October that suggests accommodations based on users' search terms, age, and gender demographics.
The platform has also expanded its review capabilities to include international tourist attractions.
"Users can now access authentic and reliable reviews from NAVER Travel users alongside existing Online Travel Agency platform reviews," said Ji-hoon Choi, NAVER's travel search team leader, adding that the company plans to enhance its travel search services through improved recommendation features.
Beginning December 1, NAVER is launching a promotional campaign that offers NAVER Pay points through a lottery system to users who write reviews of hotels or nearby attractions after completing their stays.
