Naver Launches Pet Voucher Feature for Plus Membership Program

Seoul, South Korea—Naver Corp, the South Korean internet company, introduced a voucher feature to its Plus membership program on Monday.

According to a company statement, the service is currently in beta testing with pet-related offerings.

It plans to expand to include categories such as marriage, childbirth, and childcare by the end of the year.

Members can register their pet information through the membership portal to access specific benefits when purchasing pet products from participating brands.

These benefits include a one-time 50% discount per brand up to KRW 5,000 on orders exceeding KRW 10,000.

Eleven companies, including Royal Canin, Hills, and Hangoyeonmall, are participating in the initial phase.

The company stated that registered members will receive an additional 10% in Naver Pay points on purchases from partner brands.

This will supplement the standard 1% point accrual and 4% membership accrual, for a total of up to 15% in points.

The statement said users of the Naver Hyundai Card may receive a maximum of 7% additional point accrual and a 10% instant discount.

"We launched the voucher service so that Naver Plus membership members can enjoy customized benefits according to their lifestyle," Jeong Han-na, Naver's Membership Leader, was quoted as saying in the statement.

According to a Consumer Insight survey released on April 9, Naver Plus ranked first in online shopping membership user satisfaction.
