Naver Rebrands Delivery as "Naver Shipping" with Enhanced Options
Seoul, South Korea—Naver Corp announced plans to rebrand its logistics solution, "Naver Arrival Guarantee," as "Naver Shipping" in March.
This will introduce specialized delivery options, including same-day, next-day, Sunday, and date-specific deliveries.
The same-day delivery service guarantees delivery for orders placed between midnight and 11 a.m. on the same day.
Next-day delivery applies to orders between 11 a.m. and midnight; delivery is guaranteed the following day.
Customers ordering on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and midnight can receive their items on Sunday through the new Sunday delivery option.
The service will also offer date-specific delivery, allowing customers to designate their preferred delivery date.
These enhanced options aim to give customers a more intuitive understanding of when their purchases will arrive. Naver intends to deliver products precisely on the promised delivery dates without requiring customers to track the shipping status.
The company expects synergy between the rebranded shipping service and its AI-based shopping app, Naver Plus Store, which will be released next month.
The app will include a "Naver Shipping" filter, allowing users to sort products by earliest delivery dates.
The original service, introduced in late 2022, has experienced significant growth, with a 700% increase in product offerings over two years.
Brand stores providing the guaranteed arrival service saw sales increase by 167% during this period, demonstrating that improved delivery satisfaction correlates with higher purchase rates.
Naver anticipates reducing average delivery times by up to two hours by year-end compared to last year.
The company also aims to improve its current accuracy of 97% in predicting arrival dates through continuous monitoring and enhancement of its partner network.
Customers will receive 1,000 Naver Pay points as compensation if deliveries fail to arrive on promised dates.
While same-day and Sunday deliveries are currently limited to Seoul and metropolitan areas, Naver plans to expand service coverage throughout the year.
Additional services planned for release this year include early morning delivery for evening orders and immediate delivery within approximately one hour of ordering.
Naver Plus membership subscribers spending over KRW 10,000 will receive free shipping, returns, and exchanges.
Naver will directly subsidize sellers' return shipping and disposal costs to encourage participation in the free return policy.
