NAVER Showcases Digital Twin Tech at Saudi's Cityscape Global 2024
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - NAVER's digital twin platform technology garnered significant attention at Saudi Arabia's Cityscape Global 2024, marking a crucial advancement in the Middle East's smart city development sector.
The exhibition, which concluded on November 15, attracted 12,000 visitors to Team NAVER's booth over its four-day run.
The company's demonstration space, shared with the Saudi National Housing Corporation (NHC), Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX), and Korea Water Resources Corporation, showcased integrated urban planning solutions.
A key highlight was the diorama media table, which demonstrated practical applications such as flood simulation, urban planning, and traffic system development.
Municipal leaders were particularly interested in the technology, and officials from more than 10 Saudi cities conducted detailed discussions about potential implementation.
The project, which commenced in July 2024 following an October 2023 contract signing, represents a significant step in Saudi Arabia's smart city initiative.
NAVER's technology suite includes the spatial mapping solution "ALIKE," specialized mapping robots, and AI positioning systems, enabling the creation of precise 3D virtual environments.
During the exhibition, NAVER also introduced its spatial intelligence technology, the "NAVER TwinXR Platform," which was previously unveiled at the D-ONE 24 conference.
The platform encompasses AR/VR capabilities, robotics, and autonomous driving technologies.
