Samsung launches $199 Galaxy A16 5G and $59 Fit3 tracker in U.S.

Ridgefield Park, NJ / Seoul, South Korea - Samsung Electronics America announced the Galaxy A16 5G smartphone and Galaxy Fit3 fitness tracker will be available in the United States starting January 9, 2025.

The Galaxy A16 5G, priced at $199.99, features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 800nit peak brightness. 

The device incorporates a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 13MP front camera. 

The smartphone utilizes an Exynos 1330 processor and a 5000mAh battery with 25W Super-Fast Charging capability.

Samsung has enhanced the device's security features with Samsung Knox Vault and IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. 

The company will provide six generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The Galaxy Fit3, priced at $59.99, features a 1.6-inch display 45% wider than the previous model. 

The aluminum-bodied fitness tracker has a battery life of up to 13 days and is rated 5ATM and IP68 for water and dust resistance.

The device can track over 100 types of workouts and monitor sleep patterns, heart rate, and stress levels.

Samsung offers a promotional bundle through Samsung.com from January 9 to February 9, 2025, where customers purchasing the Galaxy A16 5G receive 50% off the Galaxy Fit3. 

The Galaxy A16 5G will be available in Blue, Black, and Light Gray, while the Galaxy Fit3 will come in Gray, Silver, and Pink Gold. 

Both devices will be sold through national retailers, carriers, and Samsung.com.
