Samsung One UI 7 Rollout Brings AI-Powered Interface Redesign
Seoul, South Korea - Samsung Electronics announced the official rollout of One UI 7 will begin April 7, bringing a redesigned interface and new AI capabilities to Galaxy devices.
The software update introduces a simplified home screen, redesigned widgets, and lock screen customization options.
Now Bar's feature displays real-time updates on the lock screen, allowing users to view information with a swipe without unlocking their devices.
One UI 7 incorporates several AI-driven functions. AI Select provides contextual recommendations based on user activity.
Writing Assist offers text summarization and formatting capabilities.
Drawing Assist combines text prompts with images or sketches, while Audio Eraser isolates and removes unwanted video noise.
The update also features enhanced Google Gemini integration, which is activated by pressing the side button for voice commands.
Natural language search extends to device settings and supports nine languages: Korean, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese.
The rollout begins with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6.
In the following weeks, it will expand to additional devices, including the Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
Feature availability varies by device model. Writing Assist and Drawing Assist will be available across the Galaxy S24 and S23 series, Z Fold6, Z Flip6, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S10 and S9 series.
The Galaxy S24, S24 FE, Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and Tab S10 series will have limited functionality for the audio eraser.
