Softbank Unit Agoop Launches AI-Powered Update to People Flow Analytics Tool

Tokyo, Japan—Softbank subsidiary Agoop launched a major update on Wednesday to its location-based marketing tool, Machirepo, which introduces an industry-first AI-powered graph summarization feature.

The new functionality automatically analyzes and summarizes data visualization results, significantly reducing analysis time for users of the people flow tracking service.

The Tokyo-based company said the update allows users to generate AI-driven insights for individual graphs or in batch mode across multiple visualizations.

Machirepo enables businesses to analyze visitor patterns by defining custom geographical areas using polygonal or circular boundaries.

The platform serves retail, food service, urban development, tourism, and disaster prevention sectors.

According to the company, the AI feature excludes map-based visualizations but covers other graphical analyses.

Agoop collects anonymized location data through smartphone applications with user consent.
