SoftBank unit launches AI platform for enterprise operations.

Tokyo, Japan—Gen-AX Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SoftBank Corp., has commenced operations of X-Boost, a generative AI Software-as-a-Service platform.

The platform focuses on optimizing contact center and back-office query response operations.

It processes operator-input inquiries by searching corporate knowledge bases, manuals, and frequently asked questions to generate automated responses.

The technology implementation incorporates retrieval-augmented generation and embedding models.

The platform utilizes LLMOps for continuous AI model refinement through operational feedback cycles.

X-Boost features a user interface for non-technical personnel to manage AI model training and data updates.

The system stores all data on Japan-based servers, with AI models trained exclusively on company-specific data.

The platform's core functions encompass corporate data search capabilities, response generation, AI model training, and inquiry team management.

The system accumulates operational data to facilitate future integration with advanced AI services.

SoftBank Corp., which maintains business relationships with 93% of Japanese enterprises with annual revenues exceeding JPY 100 billion (US$ 643.4 million), will manage sales operations.

Gen-AX will provide implementation support services, including business process reengineering.

The company plans to introduce an autonomous thinking AI SaaS with voice generation capabilities in fiscal year 2025.

Gen-AX will conduct large language model testing in collaboration with SB Intuitions Inc.
