Web Summit Qatar 2025 Sets Records with 25,747 Attendees

Doha, Qatar—Web Summit Qatar reached full capacity in 2025, attracting 25,747 attendees from 124 countries to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. 

This is an increase of over 10,000 participants compared to last year.

The technology conference hosted 1,520 startups and 723 investors, establishing itself as the largest startup gathering in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Women-founded startups represented 47 percent of participating startups, a 51 percent increase from 2024, while women constituted 37 percent of total attendees.

Of the participating startups, 228 originated from Qatar, with 85 percent from other countries. 

Artificial intelligence emerged as the dominant startup sector, representing 17% of participating startups. Software followed it as a Service, health and wellness, Fintech, and Education.

The summit featured 168 partners, including Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, and Huawei. It included 381 speakers addressing topics ranging from artificial intelligence and global policy to climate change.

According to Crunchbase data, 82 companies participating in the 2024 Web Summit Qatar Startups Programme raised $120 million in the 12 months following the event.

The conference utilized Web Summit's proprietary software, Summit Engine, to organize over 120 meetups using an AI-powered recommender system. These meetups covered topics including Women in Sustainability, Cybersecurity, and AI CEOs.

Qatar Investment Authority's $1 billion Fund of Funds program marked its first anniversary at the summit, announcing new partnerships with B Capital and Deerfield to drive innovation in fintech, healthcare, AI, and clean energy sectors.
