Los Gatos, CA - Four internet service providers in Canada, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States recorded the highest average speeds for prime-time Netflix streaming in 2025, according to the company’s annual ISP Speed Index.

Telus Fiber Optic (Canada), LG U+ (South Korea), Virgin (United Kingdom), and Optimum Fiber (United States) each posted a monthly average speed of 3.37 megabits per second in 2025, Netflix reported.

Nine other providers averaged 3.35 Mbps, including Jazztel Fibra, Orange Fibra, and Vodafone DSL (Spain); SK Broadband (South Korea); HKBN (Hong Kong); MEO (Portugal); Orange Światłowód (Poland); and Time (Malaysia).

Spain, Hong Kong, and Singapore tied for first in Netflix’s national and regional rankings, with the United Kingdom in second place.

The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Korea, and the United States shared third place. Canada and Iceland tied for fourth. Hungary, Ireland, New Zealand, Romania, and Switzerland ranked fifth.

Netflix said the release marks a shift to quarterly reporting for the ISP Speed Index, which tracks global connectivity trends.

The index measures prime-time Netflix streaming performance on specific networks and does not reflect overall internet speed or performance for other services, the company said.

Higher index scores generally correspond to better picture quality, faster start times, and fewer interruptions, according to Netflix.

Netflix also offers FAST.com, a tool for testing overall download speeds.
