RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — CJ Logistics Corp. announced Thursday the commencement of full operations at a new distribution center in Riyadh, marking an expansion of its logistics presence in the Middle East.

An opening ceremony for the facility was held on February 12 within the Integrated Logistics Special Zone at King Khalid International Airport.

The event was attended by officials from the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation and representatives of the e-commerce company iHerb.

The distribution center covers 20,000 square meters and has a processing capacity of up to 20,000 boxes per day.

CJ Logistics invested KRW 60 billion (US$41.6 million) in the project following an agreement with Saudi aviation authorities in 2023.

The facility provides storage, inventory management, packaging, and customs clearance for shipments to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar.

The center employs automated systems adapted from the company's existing facility in Incheon, South Korea, including robotic vehicles and conveyor-based sorting technology.

CJ Logistics plans to expand its logistics operations to additional international markets in the first half of 2026.
