CLE Robotics Signs Japan, US Distribution Deal

Seoul, South Korea - CLE Robotics said Tuesday it signed a distribution agreement with Tokyo-Boeki Techno System for Japan and the United States.

The agreement allows CLE Robotics to use the sales and distribution network of TTS, a subsidiary of Tokyo Trade Group, in Japan and the United States.

The company is conducting proof-of-concept projects with Japanese original equipment manufacturers.

It is targeting companies in the automotive, transportation, logistics, and manufacturing automation sectors in both countries.

The Japanese manufacturing market has high entry barriers for foreign startups because of technical reliability verification requirements and the need for references, the company said.

FuturePlay provided support for overseas business strategy development, partner discovery, business structure design, and local network connections, the statement said.

The company changed its name from CLE Inc. to CLE Robotics Inc. to reflect its expansion into the robotics and automation industry.
