Seoul, South Korea - Daangn Inc. announced on Monday that it has launched a new artificial intelligence feature that analyzes user photographs to estimate the resale value of secondhand goods.

The function, named "Find My Item's Price," allows users to photograph an item, after which the AI system identifies the product and suggests a market value based on historical transaction data on the platform, the company said in a statement.

Following the price estimation, the system can integrate with an "AI Writing Assistant" to automatically generate a sales listing.

The company stated that the AI generates a title and description by identifying the product's brand, model, and color from the image, while also providing a recommended price range based on similar items that have been previously sold.

Users can access the feature via a button on the app's main screen.

A storage tab logs all scanned items from a session, retaining the AI-generated product names and prices for creating sales posts at a later time.

A Daangn official stated that the function is designed to estimate the value of users' belongings and streamline the process of listing items for sale. The company also indicated plans for ongoing feature updates.

The launch is the latest in a series of AI-driven updates from the company.

In May, Daangn introduced an AI tool to auto-generate product descriptions and categorization from images.

In February, it introduced an AI service to offer real-time price checks for used iPhones and Galaxy smartphones.
