Seoul, South Korea - Hyundai Motor Group announced on Tuesday that it will invest $26 billion in the United States from 2025 to 2028 across its automotive, steel, and robotics operations.

The company said the spending will create 25,000 jobs.

The figure represents a $5 billion increase from a $21 billion investment the South Korean company announced in March 2025, according to a company statement.

The company announced that it will construct a steel mill in Louisiana.

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation will expand U.S. automotive production capacity, the statement said.

The company will construct a robotics facility with an annual capacity of 30,000 units for design, manufacturing, testing, and deployment, according to the statement.

The group operates U.S.-based affiliates Boston Dynamics and Motional, which work on robotics and autonomous driving, respectively.

The company said it will expand collaboration with American companies in artificial intelligence, robotics, and autonomous driving.

Hyundai Motor Group has invested more than $20.5 billion in the United States since entering the market in 1986, according to the company's statement.

The company stated that the investment will be made over four years, from 2025 to 2028.
