Jobkorea Acquires Jobplanet Platform in Asset Deal

SEOUL, South Korea - Jobkorea said on Wednesday it signed an agreement to acquire the platform and business operations of Jobplanet, operated by Braincommerce, through an asset purchase.

The transaction involves the Jobplanet platform, related personnel, and operations.

The agreement was signed in December with closing set for Dec. 31. Jobplanet will operate as a Jobkorea subsidiary from Jan. 1, the company said.

Jobkorea established a subsidiary for the acquisition, which will be renamed Jobplanet LLC. The company did not disclose the purchase price.

Jobkorea operates a recruitment platform with approximately 30 million members.

The platform provides job listings and uses data on employment postings, application histories, job functions, and company information, according to the company.

Jobplanet provides company reviews, salary information, and interview feedback. The platform has approximately 1.5 million monthly active users, Jobkorea said.

Jobkorea said it will integrate job listing data with company review data.

Job postings from Jobkorea will appear on the Jobplanet platform, while company review content from Jobplanet will be integrated into Jobkorea services, the company said.
