Kakao Bank Integrates AI Services Into One Platform

South Korean digital bank Kakao Bank unified AI search, calculator, transfer, and chatbot functions into single service platform.

SEOUL, South Korea — Kakao Bank combined several artificial intelligence functions into one service, the company said Monday.

Kakao Bank AI integrates AI search, a financial calculator, transfer functions, and a customer service chatbot into a single interface.

The bank added an AI tab to the navigation bar of its mobile application.

The service uses large-language-model routing technology.

Users enter commands in natural language, and the system directs them to corresponding functions.

The bank said entering "send KRW 5,000 (US$3.39) to mom" activates the transfer function.

The chatbot has a personal information inquiry feature that shows account details, automatic transfer records, and transaction sources in the chat window.

The home screen shows AI-generated notifications about financial schedules and information.

The bank changed its logo symbol from a B-centered design to a star shape with the letter I in the center.

Kakao Bank said it would release AI Meeting Manager for group accounts and AI Sign Language Consultation for hearing-impaired users this year.

Financial product summaries, product search, and investment information features are scheduled for next year.
