Seoul, South Korea - Korea Startup Forum said it discussed cooperation with the Vietnam National Innovation Center on startup ecosystem development during a meeting in Seoul.

The organizations met on August 11 at Maru180 in Seoul's Gangnam district to discuss exchanges between Korean and Vietnamese startups, Korea Startup Forum said in a statement.

Vietnam National Innovation Center representatives asked about Korea's startup ecosystem status, networking programs, and support initiatives.

Korea Startup Forum described its COMEUP festival, KOSPO Business Trip program, and domestic investment policies for startups.

The Korean organization presented Yes Future's VIVISA platform for foreign students and workers as an example of Korean startup operations in Vietnamese markets.

Vietnam National Innovation Center said it plans to propose collaboration programs for Korean startups and invite participation in local events and programs.

The meeting occurred on the same day as a summit between South Korea's President and the Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary To Lam.

The Vietnam National Innovation Center was part of the Vietnamese delegation for the summit.

"This meeting with NIC represents an important step in Korea Startup Forum's global network expansion while creating practical exchanges and joint programs for Korean and Vietnamese startups to grow together," Josh Choi said.

Korea Startup Forum stated it aims to facilitate Korean startup entry into Vietnam and Association of Southeast Asian Nations markets while attracting global startups to Korea's domestic market.

Han Sang-woo chairs the Korea Startup Forum.
