KRAFTON Buys Last Epoch Developer for $96 Million

Seoul, South Korea - KRAFTON Inc. said it acquired Eleventh Hour Games, the developer of video game Last Epoch, for $96 million.

KRAFTON purchased 100 percent of Eleventh Hour Games' shares, the company said in a statement. 

Last Epoch has sold over 3 million copies worldwide, according to the announcement.

Eleventh Hour Games was founded in 2018.

The company stated that its founders met via Reddit. Last Epoch was officially launched in 2024.

The companies said Last Epoch delivered strong performance in player activation and concurrency metrics following a recent update.

Eleventh Hour Games will retain leadership and creative autonomy, KRAFTON said. 

The acquisition will provide resources for console platform development and the expansion of seasonal content.

Judd Cobler, chief executive of Eleventh Hour Games, said the acquisition would provide resources for further development of the Last Epoch franchise.

Maria Park, Head of Corporate Development at KRAFTON, said the acquisition is intended to diversify KRAFTON's portfolio and expand its intellectual property holdings.

KRAFTON said the deal aims to secure franchise intellectual property in the action RPG genre and strengthen its global market position.

The company said it will support Eleventh Hour Games' live service operations, team expansion, and international publishing.

The acquisition includes an initial consideration of $96 million, KRAFTON said.
