Seoul, South Korea - KREAM, a South Korean trading platform, said baseball merchandise transactions rose 1,053 percent in the January-May period compared with the same months in 2024.

The Seoul-based company released trading data covering the period from January 1 to May 20.

The figures include both business-to-consumer and consumer-to-consumer transactions, the company said.

Hanwha Eagles merchandise posted the largest increase among individual teams, with trading volume rising approximately 29,500 percent year-over-year, KREAM said.

The Korea Baseball Organization team finished second in league standings and recorded a 12-game winning streak during the period.

The team's "Spider 40th Anniversary Legacy Authentic Uniform Ivory" sold at more than twice its retail price, according to the platform.

Products featuring the team's "Kkomdori" character received 11,000 user saves within five days of release.

Selected items sold out within 10 minutes of availability, the company reported.

SSG Landers merchandise volume increased 2,500 percent compared with 2024 levels, while Doosan Bears products rose 1,300 percent, KREAM data showed. KIA Tigers, Lotte Giants, and Kiwoom Heroes also reported increases.

KIA Tigers items from a collaboration with the animated series "Catch! Teenieping" traded at 2.3 times the retail price for pink uniform products across all sizes, according to platform records. The collaboration launched on May 2.

Samsung Lions conducted pre-sales of merchandise developed with Sansan Gear through the platform.

LG Twins released collaboration products with Bloomingtale in March and BDNS in May, both of which resulted in complete inventory depletion, the company stated.

Trading encompassed uniforms, cheering implements, keychains, and collaborative merchandise, KREAM reported.

The company noted an expansion of consumer participation from demographic groups, including women aged 10-29.

A company spokesperson stated that the trading increases reflect the expansion of sports fan culture through digital platforms.

KREAM operates authentication services for limited edition goods and provides market pricing data and product release information.
