KREAM Reports 270% Jump in Running Product Searches

KREAM Co Ltd reports 270% increase in running-related searches and 154% growth in transaction values during first half of 2025.

Seoul, South Korea - KREAM, which operates a limited-edition trading platform in South Korea, reported transaction data showing increased activity in running-related products during the first seven months of 2025.

The company reported that running-related keyword searches increased by 270 percent compared to the same period in 2024.

Transaction values for running products increased 154 percent while buyer numbers grew 153 percent during the January-July period, according to company data released Monday.

KREAM reported that 72 percent of running product buyers were aged 20-39 years.

Women aged 30-39 experienced a 246 percent increase in buyer numbers and a 271 percent growth in transaction value.

Women aged 20-29 experienced a 161 percent increase in buyer growth and a 195 percent rise in transaction value.

Brand Transaction Data

Nike remained the top brand by transaction volume, KREAM said.

Swiss brand On Running reported a 454 percent increase in transaction value and a 700 percent rise in buyers, placing second in overall rankings.

Asics recorded transaction value growth of 665 percent and moved to third position, surpassing Hoka, according to the platform's data.

Brand preferences varied across demographic segments.

On Running ranked first among women aged 30-39, ahead of Nike.

Among men aged 20-29, Asics placed second behind Nike, ahead of Hoka and On Running.

Product Categories

Sneakers accounted for approximately 90 percent of running-related transaction values. Other product categories reported growth during the period.

Cap transactions increased more than 20-fold compared with 2024, moving from eighth to third position among running categories. Socks entered the top ten categories at tenth position.

The platform reported that the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next% 3 in Hyper Pink, On Running x Paf Cloudmonster 2, and Oakley Eye Jacket Redux in Matt Black received the highest number of user favorites during the period.

Platform Changes

KREAM launched a dedicated running section featuring product recommendations organized by running distance and body type, as well as new releases and accessories.

A company representative said the platform was developing additional curation features.

The representative attributed growth trends to what the company described as increased interest in health and wellness among consumers aged 20-39, who seek products with both functional and design elements.

The company provided context, citing industry estimates that more than 10 million people run in South Korea. The 2025 Seoul Marathon recorded 40,000 participants in March.

Registration periods for the scheduled October 2025 Chuncheon Marathon full marathon and 10-kilometer events lasted five minutes and three minutes, respectively.
