LG Shows AI Appliances at IFA 2025 Berlin Trade Show

LG Electronics displays AI-powered home appliances at IFA 2025 in Berlin, featuring ThinQ ON hub, smart refrigerators, and robotic vacuum systems.

Berlin, Germany / Seoul, South Korea - LG Electronics showcased artificial intelligence-enabled home appliances at the IFA 2025 trade show in Berlin, the company said.

The South Korean manufacturer organized its booth under the theme "LG AI Appliances Orchestra" with products controlled through its ThinQ ON hub system.

The company divided its exhibition space into four zones.

The company presented refrigerators with AI-powered compressor systems and advanced insulation technology.

The refrigerators include a Zero Clearance Hinge, which allows doors to open when units are positioned against walls.

The company displayed washing machines and dryers with AI functionality, expanded controls, and larger LCD screens. The products were developed for the European market, LG said.

The vacuum cleaner lineup includes a robot vacuum with steam mopping, a built-in robot vacuum station for under-sink installation, and wet-dry stick vacuum models. 

LG said the built-in station is the first configuration of its kind.

LG demonstrated software platforms including ThinQ AI for voice recognition and menu recommendations, ThinQ UP for appliance software updates, and ThinQ Care for maintenance monitoring

The company also presented Spielraum, a system that connects home appliances to vehicle systems.

The company presented the LG Comfort Kit, a set of accessories designed to enhance appliance accessibility for various user groups.

The exhibition includes a business-to-business consultation area where LG demonstrates appliance technologies to commercial clients. 

The company highlighted its AI DD motor technology.

LG integrated its Robot Business Division into the Home Appliance Solution Company to incorporate robotics technologies into residential products. The operation develops kitchen and living space appliances.

The Home Appliance Solution Company manufactures home appliances and AI home solutions globally.
