LY Corp Launches Ads on Renewed LINE Home Tab

LY Corporation begins programmatic ad distribution on the updated LINE Home Tab, reaching 100 million monthly active users with in-feed ads.

Tokyo, Japan - LY Corporation has begun programmatic advertising on the updated "Home Tab" of its LINE messaging application.

The advertising integration—featuring "LINE Ads" and "Yahoo! Ads Display Ads"—utilizes in-feed formats that appear within the Home Tab's content area.

Supported creative formats include static images, video ads, carousel ads, and account follow prompts.

As of December 2025, the LINE application reported more than 100 million domestic monthly active users.

The platform began a phased rollout of its redesigned Home Tab interface on March 5, 2026.

During the interface transition, advertisements targeting the Home section will be displayed across both the legacy and updated versions of the tab, according to the company.

Ad distribution is expected to migrate fully to the new Home Tab layout upon completion of the rollout.

LY Corporation operates multiple advertising platforms, including the LINE ad network—which reaches users across the messaging app's various tabs—and Yahoo! Ads, which covers search and display advertising across Yahoo! JAPAN services.
