LY Corp Launches AI Event Tracker for Yahoo! JAPAN App

Tokyo, Japan - LY Corporation has introduced "AI Pickup," a generative artificial intelligence feature for its Yahoo! JAPAN mobile application, designed to curate and display event schedules according to user preferences.

The feature integrates with the company's "Yahoo! Real-time Search" function to analyze posts on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Using generative AI, the system summarizes posts to extract scheduling information relevant to topics users follow within the app.

The AI categorizes the extracted data into six event types: product releases, program broadcasts, movie premieres, ticket sales, event hosting, and online streaming.

The company said the tracking capability covers approximately 17,000 themes, ranging from animation and comics to culinary topics and public figures.

The curated event schedules appear in the application's "Assist" tab, which consolidates daily utility information, and are labeled "AI Pickup".

The feature is available to users running iOS 4.158.0 or later and Android 3.214.0 or later.

LY Corporation stated that, in line with its AI utilization policies, it does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated outputs.
