Tokyo, Japan - LY Corporation announced Monday the launch of Yahoo! Shopping Affiliate, a performance-based marketing service that enables users to generate affiliate links for products on its e-commerce platform and share them through social media channels and blogs.

Affiliates are paid through PayPay Money, the company's digital payment system.

The service requires a Yahoo! JAPAN ID and has no initial fees or screening requirements.

Users can create affiliate links directly from search results and product detail pages, and can compile multiple products into shareable lists with commentary.

Merchants can set commission rates at the product level.

LY Corporation reported that user-generated content related to Yahoo! Shopping increased 13.5-fold between May 2024 and July 2025 following social media posting campaigns.

The company said the new program provides infrastructure to support this activity.

The service represents a modification to the platform's traffic acquisition model, which previously relied on official accounts and advertising expenditure.

Individual users can now generate traffic through social media distribution, while merchants gain an additional channel alongside existing affiliate networks.

LY Corporation will conduct a promotional campaign from February 2 through February 28, 2026.

Users who complete registration, link PayPay accounts, and execute initial social media posts may receive up to 10,700 yen equivalent in PayPay points.

The company indicated that it plans to further develop monetization features and merchant management tools.
