Tokyo, JapanLY Corporation has released a mobile application for its Yahoo! Travel booking platform, the company announced Wednesday.

The application supports iOS and Android operating systems, and connects to over 17,000 hotels and traditional inns in Japan.

Users can make reservations, modify existing bookings, and process cancellations through the application, the company said.

Japan recorded 119.64 million domestic travelers in the first quarter of 2025, a 6.0% increase from the same period in 2024, according to data from the Japan Tourism Agency, cited by the company.

Domestic travel expenditure increased 15.5 percent year-over-year during the quarter.

The Yahoo! Travel platform offers discounts of up to 10 percent for users who pay with credit cards during the booking process, according to LY Corporation.

The service also features monthly promotional periods, called "GoGo Sales," that provide additional reductions of 10 percent or more.

Promotional periods occur six times per month on dates that include the digits "5" or "0," specifically the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th.

Each promotion runs for 36 hours, beginning at noon on the previous day and ending at 11:59 p.m. on the target date, according to the company.

The mobile application uses the same recommendation algorithms as the browser version of Yahoo! Travel, according to the company.

LY Corporation said it plans to introduce push notification capabilities for reservation-related updates.

The service integrates with PayPay's digital payment system, enabling users to apply loyalty points at checkout or accumulate points for future transactions, the company said.
