Seoul, South Korea - Naver Corp. said on Wednesday that it has added easyPOS as the fourth point-of-sale system provider in its restaurant data integration service, which connects POS terminal information to the company's Smart Place platform.

The South Korean internet company launched the "Place Plus Beta" service in June with three POS providers: OKPOS, PayHere, and Pay&Store. EasyPOS integration began this month, Naver stated in a press release.

The service links POS data to Naver’s Smart Place platform, enabling restaurant operators using participating POS systems to access net sales, customer traffic sources, and menu-specific sales data, according to the company.

Restaurant detail pages display weekly popular menu items, peak visit hours, and average transaction amounts sourced from POS data, the company said.

Establishments utilizing the service are marked with a "place+" badge in search results.

The system enables customers to write reviews using POS payment records without requiring receipt verification, according to the company.

Naver indicated that UnionPOS will be added next month, with plans to incorporate additional POS providers during the beta period.

Smart Place is Naver’s platform that provides business management tools for establishments listed on its search and mapping services.

"We will continue to enhance Place Plus by integrating various online and offline data essential to restaurant operations, providing business owners with improved operational efficiency and giving users more accurate and comprehensive on-site information,"
Sang-chul Lee, head of Naver’s Place business division.

The company stated it will collect feedback from business owners and users during the beta period.
