Naver Cloud Signs AI Agreement with LS Electric

Seoul, South Korea - Naver Cloud announced Monday it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with LS Electric to develop artificial intelligence applications for the power and manufacturing industries.

The agreement, announced by Naver Cloud Platform Chief Executive Kim Yu-won, includes the development of an AI agent for power equipment diagnosis using the company's HyperCLOVA X DASH model.

Naver Cloud Platform signed an AI agent development contract with LS Electric last month, according to the announcement.

The AI agent is designed to analyze power equipment monitoring data and provide diagnostic reports through a chatbot interface.

The system utilizes an on-premises AI architecture that can operate in closed network environments, the companies stated.

The cooperation also includes plans to convert LS Electric's Manufacturing Execution System and Factory Energy Management System solutions to cloud environments.

Kim said the cooperation highlights the use of generative AI and cloud technology in manufacturing environments.

LS Electric Chief Executive Chae Dae-seok stated that the company plans to integrate its power equipment and smart factory capabilities with Naver Cloud's AI technology to develop solutions for use in power, factory, and data center settings.

The companies said they plan to explore additional business opportunities through joint solution development.
