Seoul, South Korea - Naver Corp. announced the launch of the 'AI National Secretary,' a conversational agent developed in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, intended to facilitate public access to government services.

The service, powered by Naver's large language model HyperCLOVA X, is integrated into the Naver application's 'My' tab and Naver Place search results.

The platform enables users to access administrative documents and reserve public facilities through text-based prompts.

According to the company, the system supports approximately 100 types of electronic certificates, including resident registration records and health insurance verifications.

The AI agent assists users in querying, issuing, and submitting these documents directly to registered institutions, such as banks.

The service includes an AI briefing function that draws on official sources to answer user questions about document types and issuance fees.

The system is connected to Gongyu Nuri, the government portal for public resources.

This integration enables users to search for, book, modify, or cancel reservations at roughly 1,200 public sports facilities and meeting rooms nationwide.

After a reservation is made, the platform provides nearby restaurant recommendations based on the Naver Place location and review data.

Naver stated that it plans to link the AI National Secretary with AI Tab, an integrated agent scheduled for release in the first half of the year.
