Naver Map Adds Real-Time Transit Disruption Alerts

Seoul, South Korea – Naver Corp. on Friday announced an update to its Naver Map application that integrates real-time public transit safety and disruption information into routing and main display interfaces.

The update provides live data on service suspensions, non-stop station passes, accidents, and delays affecting public transportation networks.

The system displays incidents at subway, bus, and train stations, allowing users to adjust their travel routes in response to disruptions.

Naver said it plans to expand the scope of disruption data to include additional modes of transportation.

The new features build on a 2024 platform update that introduced incident reporting within users’ areas and integrated disaster notifications into the app’s driving navigation feature.

Naver Map has approximately 30 million monthly active users.
