Seoul, South Korea - Nota AI said Thursday it received preliminary approval for a KOSDAQ listing from the Korea Exchange, two months after filing its application.

The artificial intelligence model optimization company received an "A•A" rating in Korea's official technology evaluation process in December 2024.

Mirae Asset Securities will serve as lead underwriter for the planned initial public offering in the second half of 2025.

The company stated that the approval occurred during a period of heightened regulatory scrutiny and a sharp decline in IPO approvals in the first half of 2025.

Nota AI cited its overseas customer acquisitions and revenue growth as factors in the approval.

Nota AI operates NetsPresso, a platform for developing and deploying AI models.

The company stated that it has commercialized the technology through collaborations with NVIDIA, Samsung Electronics, ARM, Qualcomm, Sony, and Renesas.

The company has expanded into industrial safety, surveillance, and transportation systems through its Nota Vision Agent video monitoring system, which it says uses a proprietary Vision Language Model.

In April 2025, Nota AI signed a supply agreement with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority.

According to the company, it is the first Korean company to deliver a generative AI solution to a government agency in the Middle East.

Chief Executive Myungsu Chae said the company received fast-track approval during a period of increased scrutiny for IPOs.

Nota AI has offices in Germany and the United States, and it has expanded its operations to the Middle East, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

The company reported revenue growth over the past five years and projected year-over-year growth for 2025.

The company stated that it plans to utilize IPO proceeds for research and development, as well as global business expansion.
