Pennsylvania, PA - Two Pennsylvania-based consumer goods firms have begun selling products in Asian markets through Coupang, a New York-listed e-commerce company operating primarily in South Korea and Taiwan.

Kate's Real Food, a producer of organic energy and protein bars, launched on the Coupang platform in South Korea on Tuesday, representing its first entry into the market.

Healthy Origins, a dietary supplement company based in Morgan, Pennsylvania, reported that its sales on Coupang in South Korea have grown by more than 50 percent year over year and that it is extending its presence to Taiwan.

Healthy Origins employs 24 people at its facility near Pittsburgh.

Under the arrangement, U.S. sellers ship products to Coupang’s domestic logistics facilities. Coupang then handles storage, packing, and delivery to customers in its overseas markets.

Coupang, headquartered in Seattle and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, provides retail, delivery, and financial services in South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, China, and India.

The company has stated that its South Korean operations reach approximately half the country’s population.

Bill Anaya, vice president at Coupang, said the company has built an AI-driven export engine that enables American entrepreneurs to pursue new revenue opportunities abroad and expand their local teams.

Healthy Origins Chief Executive Bret Eby stated that the partnership provided access to new customers and simplified order fulfillment.

Kate’s Real Food, founded in Wyoming, reported that its products are currently sold at more than 20,000 retailers worldwide.
