Rakuten Wallet Adds 5 Crypto Tokens for Spot Trading

Tokyo, Japan — Rakuten Wallet, the digital asset exchange subsidiary of Japanese retail conglomerate Rakuten, announced it will add five cryptocurrencies to its spot trading offerings, effective April 15.

The newly listed assets are XRP, Stellar (XLM), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and Toncoin (TON).

Alongside the new listings, the platform launched a promotional campaign offering up to JPY 100,000 in XRP rewards to eligible retail customers who trade the asset.

The expansion follows recent developments by other companies in Japan’s regulated digital asset sector.

SBI Ripple Asia deployed an XRP Ledger token issuance platform for tokenized payments, while SBI VC Trade added the RLUSD stablecoin to its platform.
