Seoul, South Korea - Rebellions has partnered with SK Telecom and Arm to develop AI inference infrastructure for the sovereign AI and telecommunications sectors, the companies announced.

The initiative will integrate the Arm AGI CPU, built on the Arm Neoverse CSS V3 architecture, with Rebellions' RebelCard accelerator to produce a server system intended for large-scale data processing.

The hardware is designed to support air-cooled operations within existing data center environments.

The RebelCard uses Rebellions' "Rebel 100" module, which combines four neural processing unit chiplets with fifth-generation High Bandwidth Memory (HBM3E).

The hardware uses chip-to-chip communication technology intended to process large multimodal and Mixture of Experts models.

The three companies will also co-develop the associated software stack, including firmware.

The resulting systems will undergo performance and stability testing within SK Telecom's AI data centers.

During that phase, SK Telecom plans to run its foundation model, A.X K1, on the new server architecture to assess its suitability for telecommunications workloads.

Following technical validation, the partnership intends to commercialize the infrastructure globally, with an initial focus on Asian markets.

The companies aim to supply the servers to telecommunications providers and public sector entities that require localized data processing capabilities for sovereign AI deployment.
